The Global IMPACT team-Integrated Marketing, Partnerships, Action, Communications, and The Climate Pledge (TCP)-establishes Amazon's leadership in corporate sustainability by demonstrating how we use our size and scale to have a positive impact on people and the planet. This team works both within Amazon and externally on partnerships and joint initiatives.
The IMPACT team is looking for a high-judgement, self-motivated, and creative Events Manager to support the ideation, development, and implementation of events that inspire decision makers to create change. One of the primary ways the team is looking to engage with signatories and top-tier influencers is through a suite events.
The Events Manager will help bring to life large-and-small activations across multiple external-facing platforms, including programming for the Climate Pledge Arena. This role will be responsible for executing consumer, c-suite, executive, and influencer top-tier events and meetings.
The ideal candidate recognizes the power of big picture strategic vision and is able to communicate between senior leadership and external stakeholders seamlessly. The candidate will have experience in live events as well as large-scale virtual productions.
The ideal candidate is motivated by a highly creative and dynamic culture where the challenge of breaking new ground and redefining best practices is welcome - from creating playbooks, intake forms, and vendor catalogs, to developing processes, documentation, and trainings. Key job responsibilities
- Managing production, logistics, and communication for c-suite, executive, and influencer top-tier events
- Innovating alongside marketing campaigns to integrate key event moments
- Working across teams to generate materials and information that is useful to event attendees
- Identifying and developing appropriate processes and mechanisms to ensure an efficient and effective work flow
- Keep current on trends, issues, and news about the business and consumer worlds of sustainability and events
- Managing and tracking budgets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional events experience within a corporation or production company
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience producing events with and for high-profile individuals
- Experience managing vendors
- Proven track record leading global projects with high levels of complexity
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
- Ability to take ownership, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment
- Demonstrate bias for action to ensure teams meet or exceed customer expectations
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute
- Team player who effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members (local or remote), sponsors, key stakeholders, executives, and other individuals or organizations involved with the project

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
