The Director of Shuttle Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of shuttle and fleet operations at the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The Director of Shuttle Operations position will support the General Manager with all aspects of the shuttle and fleet operations. The Director of Shuttle Operations must be able to delegate responsibilities to his subordinates, organize complex projects, and establish priorities consistent with parking objectives. The Director of Shuttle Operations must also demonstrate effective communication skills and superior leadership abilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish goals, objectives, and operating procedures for the management of shuttle bus and service vehicle fleet for all locations.
- Establish shuttle safety programs with the Training Manager and Safety Manager for safety as it relates to company vehicles.
- Establish fleet maintenance procedures.
- Supervise and manage the fleet maintenance department.
- Generate monthly shuttle activity reports for AGM
- Prepare surplus forms to return vehicles to the Department of Aviation at the completion of service time with our operation
- Prepare and submit approval letters for fleet maintenance repairs outside of approval amount to be forwarded to the Department of Aviation
- Compile and analyze justifications for the procurement of shuttle buses and support vehicles
- Manage procurement for all shuttle buses and support vehicles
- Audit the vehicle inventory and equipment.
- Approve invoices for payment related to completed maintenance repairs for the shuttle operation and all support vehicles
- Track expenses and maintenance cost for shuttle buses and support vehicles for the entire operation.
- Audit accident history, repair cost, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate with insurance company to facilitate fleet repairs following accidents
- Fleet and service vehicle fuel card management
- Oversee schedules and bids for shuttle bus drivers, grounds transportation coordinators and dispatchers in accordance with approved operating budget.
- Interview and source new vendors for maintenance repairs and parts
- Coordinate special event functions involving the shuttle operation
- Interview and approve candidates for promotion or hire
- Review disciplinary actions and conduct 2nd step grievances per CBA
- Attend PRM prep meeting twice monthly and update on operational issues as needed

- Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be a requirement.
- Communication Skills: Comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, managers, and other company employees; Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and convert time (standard/military time).
- Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform.
Job Requirements
- Education/ Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Language Skills - Ability to read and speak English clearly (bilingual a plus).
- Reasoning Ability - Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written and oral instructions.
- Software Skills: Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Minimum Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older
