Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 depending on experience
Account Managers play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and retaining strong client relationships with our client. They work as part of a collaborative client service team, supporting a shared book of business and ensuring a high standard of client satisfaction.
This role requires a deep understanding of employee benefits programs, vendor partnerships, and effective communication strategies. Account Managers lead annual open enrollment planning, manage renewal implementations, and develop customized benefit communication strategies including vendor coordination, digital materials, and in-person sessions. They also support wellbeing initiatives and help facilitate benefit enrollment systems.
Account Managers are the go-to resource for clients-resolving day-to-day issues, managing escalations, and ensuring the timely execution of deliverables. They partner closely with internal teammates and external vendors to ensure smooth service delivery and strategic support.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a team to effectively manage and retain a book of business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendor partners.
- Manage project timelines for open enrollment and renewals.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalations and problem resolution.
- Provide strategic guidance on benefits communications, wellbeing programs, and administrative tools.
- Lead client education efforts through presentations, meetings, and resource development.
- Direct communication deliverables (booklets, guides, custom videos, etc.) with internal and external partners.
- Document client activity, communications, and deliverables in internal systems.
- Conduct planning sessions to understand future benefit strategy, enrollment workflows, and compliance needs.
- Support the implementation of new policies and ensure contracts align with plan details.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and conduct employee meetings.
- 2+ years of experience in employee benefits (health & welfare).
- Valid Health and Life Insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- High school diploma required; college degree and relevant designations preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Skilled in public speaking and group facilitation.
- Exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in solving problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with tools like Brainshark is a plus.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings (reliable transportation required).
