About The Role
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Software developer to help design and influence the software architecture for Vehicle Grid Integration (VGI) solutions in North America. This includes integration with EVSEs via API and OCPP, energy market interfaces such as integration with utilities via OpenADR, services needed to process and execute Demand Response (DR) events, and integration with the optimizer.
You will collaborate with the existing Global Product Team working on ChargePilot (charge management for fleets) and EV Aggregation Platform.

About The Role
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Software developer to help design and influence the software architecture for Vehicle Grid Integration (VGI) solutions in North America. This includes integration with EVSEs via API and OCPP, energy market interfaces such as integration with utilities via OpenADR, services needed to process and execute Demand Response (DR) events, and integration with the optimizer.
You will collaborate with the existing Global Product Team working on ChargePilot (charge management for fleets) and EV Aggregation Platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and developer teams to synthesize solutions to build scalable and resource efficient systems
- Integrate bidirectional chargers into our platform
- Enhance current VGI capabilities by integrating with utilities via OpenADR to receive Demand Response events and deliver reports
- Manage Jira tickets and sprints for VGI North America team
- Lead software debugging process

Requirements
- 5+ years as a full-stack software engineer including backend experience in Python or Rust
- 1+ year as lead engineer or engineering team manager
- Operate with a DevOps mindset
- Residency in United States or Canada and eligibility to work without sponsorship
Bonus Points

- Residency in Quebec (our main software development office in North America is in Montreal)
