Job Summary

As a critical partner in the organization's data strategy, the Senior Director Actuarial Data and Workflow Management will oversee and integrate two critical pillars of the Actuarial Transformation program: Reporting, Workflow, and Analytics (RWA) and Actuarial Data Management (ADM). This senior leader will define and execute the enablement path for how actuarial teams across the organization leverage technology, data, and workflow tools to drive efficiency, enhance governance, and deliver business value. Reporting with a dotted line to the IT-partner officer, this role will actively engage in IT leadership meetings to ensure alignment with enterprise data and technology priorities, creating a unified approach to advancing the organization's financial and risk management goals.

This role will also focus on
  • Defining and executing the strategic enablement vision for actuarial technology adoption, data management, and workflow optimization, ensuring alignment with enterprise data and technology strategies as well as actuarial transformation priorities.
  • Providing strategic oversight for the Reporting, Workflow, & Analytics (RWA) and Actuarial Data Management (ADM) teams, ensuring their initiatives are complementary and cohesive in advancing actuarial data and workstreams, enabling our business partners, and aligning with enterprise goals.
  • Overseeing the transition from legacy systems to future-state platforms, ensuring both workflows and data solutions are aligned with the enterprise roadmap while supporting continuity in actuarial operations.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders across the organization, including ACP leaders and IT partners, to drive alignment between actuarial transformation initiatives, enterprise objectives, and broader business needs, ensuring practical and scalable solutions.
  • Advancing innovation through AI and emerging technologies, ensuring both RWA and ADM teams integrate these capabilities to enhance workflows, analytics, and data management practices.


Skills and Background You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field. Eight or more years' experience in the actuarial domain or insurance industry environment.
  • Strongly preferred professional licensure or certification: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent international designation.
  • Prior experience in actuarial transformation, specifically related to data modernization efforts with an emphasis on governance, controls, and optimization.
  • Experience building and using reporting mechanisms to understand usage patterns and adoption across a broad user-base, leveraging the reporting to advise leaders on strategic approach and priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale initiatives at the intersection of technology, data, and analytics transformation, with a focus on aligning enterprise strategies to business function needs.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial practices, risk management, and data-driven decision-making, combined with expertise in technology platforms and data governance.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships across business and technology functions to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of translating organizational priorities into actionable plans, delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills to align cross-functional teams and inspire collaboration.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.


Salary Range:
$177,500.00 - $283,500.00
