The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and technicians who work to improve manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and drive operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical background in manufacturing engineering principles, coupled with leadership and project management skills. The Senior Supervisor will work cross-functionally with various departments, including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain, to identify and implement improvements that enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput.

What You Will Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. Conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and ensuring ongoing training and development of team members.
  • Provide technical support to the production floor, addressing complex issues related to equipment, processes, and production methods.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor process changes (continuous improvements) to improve production flow, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of capital projects, including equipment upgrades and process changes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure efficient product flow and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by providing manufacturing engineering input into product designs, manufacturing methods, and tool designs.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance metrics (KPIs), project status, and team performance to upper management.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field).
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electronic manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or proven leadership role.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Kaizen.
  • Background in troubleshooting and process optimization in a manufacturing setting, especially in surface mount technology related processes.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing environments.
