This is a temporary position.
The Senior Manager, Product - Enterprise Chat Messaging Platform is a technical product owner role that leads analysis efforts and/or functions as a techno-functional expert. This role collaborates with client and information technology organizations to lead the definition of functional requirements and functional designs of creative solutions that will support the clients' strategy and future business goals. This includes partnership with business stakeholders and close collaboration with Technology Product and Engineering team members. This role will also work standup-to-standup, sprit-to-sprint, focusing on developing, delivering, and supporting the on-property internet connection experience for millions of guests worldwide. This person partners with the Director, Product and key stakeholders including engineering, UX design and operations to understand customers, problem spaces, opportunities, and desired outcomes. The team uses these learnings to design, build, test, and deliver digital solutions that delight guests, drive Marriott's business goals, and fit within our network architecture and hotel operating models.
This selected candidate will be involved in the product end-to-end, from business analysis and user story refinement, all the way through to working with engineering and operations to ensure product delivery timelines are met and revenue, loyalty and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Additional Responsibilities
The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $77.40 per hour.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Four-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related major.
- Graduate degree in business or technology preferred
- 6+ years of work experience with 2+ years of product management experience required
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practice.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNOW and Microsoft Office applications.
- Has built product/feature roadmaps and delivery schedules.
- Able to see the big picture and break down product delivery into manageable technical implementations, while delivering incremental value.
- Able to pivot from existing plan to address any unforeseen circumstances.
- Able to identify new opportunities to drive better customer experiences and/or incremental revenues.
- Excellent communicator, both written and spoken. Must be able to explain product vision, business objective, technical feasibility, define requirements, and technical implementations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Product Owner
- Help define product initiatives for new features and enhancements and incorporate them into product roadmaps
- Support the definition of business requirements and development of the product roadmap.
- Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, wire-frames, product requirements to support development.
- Coordinate backlog.
- Integrate data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, and company goals to drive prioritization of product initiatives.
- Understand, manage, and communicate prioritization of features, with a mind toward user and business benefits and tradeoffs. Identify market opportunities and define product strategy to reflect those.
- Manage and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make data driven decisions.
- Support oversight of SLAs with partners and reporting/analytics.
