Job Summary:
The Center Operations Director (COD) will ensure that the optimal level of care and patient service is delivered and who acts as the face to current and prospective patients while driving the practice's success.
The COD will coordinate center activities, general facility management, advising patient flow throughout the center and supporting the medical providers in the delivery of patient care. The COD will lead and manage center staff and handling the daily operations of the clinic.
Responsibilities
Oversight of Responsibilities:
  • Builds an environment of team building, integrity, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, reward, and recognition at the center level.
  • Monitors and drives key business and clinical metrics.
  • Responsible for the P&L.
  • Ensures staffing optimization and holds staff accountable to impact workflow and patient experience for all disciplines and sites.
  • Works with clinicians in assessing center processes, work flows and staffing to continuously improve the patient experience.
  • Maintains and establishes relationships with employers, payers, referral sources, networks, local communities, etc. to drive market growth.
  • Develops colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring / development, engagement, retention, performance management and succession planning.
  • Maintains new policies, procedures, and training programs for the assigned center.
  • Prepares and reviews operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepares annual budgets
  • Ensures all certifications and regulatory procedures are current.
  • Assists in the development, review, and revision of standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
  • Works in a collaborative role with the management team, staff and physicians in the clinical practices, as well as related departments throughout the organization.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of supervisory experience with previous medical office management and/or supervisory experience sufficient to address staffing and human resources preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially in the areas of patient and physician relations.
  • Consistent track record with customer service, training, and ability to empower others to effect positive change.
  • Strong service mentality and a focus on achieving defined service standards.
