Production Costing Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

• Negotiates all costing from component costs to final fobs- working with vp to set targets
• Logs and keeps history for all costing received and rolls costing out to internal margin
• Links final costing to order placement in one master file- linking allocation/costing/units and po placement together
• Initiates counter sourcing of styles for better costing and better quality/executions
• Understands and communicates all relevant duty/freight information and includes this in costing chart set up.
• Requests cost breakdown sheets for all stages of sampling and keeps an organized library by vendor
• Sets up landed cost templates in order placement system and ensures it remains complete and accurate at all times.
• Reviews pre-production and top samples to confirm matching to standards and to prior sample comments- ultimately approving that product is shippable.
• Adds all production photos to photo stream for founder review and visibility
• Reviews and comments on all bulk materials
• Tracks manufacturing process to ensure the product meets the agreed upon purchase order requirements.
• Communicates and flags any implications of design changes on costing.
• Daily communication and correspondence with overseas vendors

Skill Set:

• 3-5 years production experience in handbags and/or accessories
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong mathematical skills as well as data analysis skills
• Experience in sourcing and working with overseas vendors
• Proficient in excel
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize and find efficiencies in process
• Flexible and able to quickly adapt according to daily needs of the business
• Salary 85k
