Summary

The District Operations Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of services, compliance with safety and quality standards, and alignment with company objectives. This leadership role involves managing personnel, budgets, client relationships, and operational workflows to meet performance goals while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:
  • Direct and oversee district operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project management.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and safety protocols across all operational activities.
  • Monitor project progress and address any operational challenges to ensure timely and successful completion.

Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of District Area Managers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration within the district.

Client Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with services and fostering repeat business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for district clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage district budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
  • Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability, taking corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Conduct regular safety and compliance audits to identify and mitigate risks.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve district and company goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

Fleet Management:
  • Direct and oversee district fleet compliance, maintenance program execution, BIT.
  • Work collaboratively with Fleet Manager to execute and enhance current fleet program.
  • Own district vendor partnership relationships, create strategic alliances to expedite service and breakdown turnaround time.


Qualification Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within the construction, utilities, or pipeline services industries.
Demonstrated experience in managing field operations, project management, and team leadership.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of operational processes, safety regulations, and project management best practices.
Proficiency with ERP software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to dynamic work environments.
Strong client-facing skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
