About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager (Business Execution Senior Manager) in Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) to be responsible for the end-to-end vendor lifecycle for the business. This role will be the primary interface between the CIB business, Enterprise Supply Chain, and external vendors to ensure our vendor relationships support CIB's business objectives while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

The ideal candidate will showcase significant CIB experience and have demonstrated a strategic approach to vendor selection and negotiations, bring a strategic mindset, leverage their risk and control expertise, leadership, and business acumen to oversee the efficiency of the vendor management process for CIB. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring partnership and stakeholder management across CIB, Enterprise CAO and Finance partners to complement procurement and ensure commercial and risk management requirements are met.

In this role, you will:
  • Assess the existing vendor relationship management landscape across CIB and partner with Enterprise Supply Chain to design & implement a new operating model for CIB on vendor strategy
  • Own and manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including planning, onboarding, support contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and offboarding for CIB
  • Engage directly with vendors as a primary representative advocating for CIB business needs
  • Act as the primary contact for CIB vendor related topics to the business, Enterprise supply chain, Third-party risk, Finance, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop a detailed understanding of business-specific vendor needs and integrate them into strategic planning
  • Engage with demand planning to align vendor services with CIB business requirements
  • Set and achieve CIB vendor spend cost reduction targets while ensuring quality of service
  • Partner with supply chain to negotiate contracts, ensuring CIB obtains fair pricing and strategic value
  • Provide CIB-specific feedback and needs to be incorporated into enterprise transformation plans
  • Participate in CIB vendor renewal, approval, and review processes in collaboration with the CFO and other stakeholders


Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years Management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Corporate & Investment Banking experience
  • Strong understanding and proven leadership of the Corporate & Investment Banking business, including vendor requirements and strategic planning
  • Extensive experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain within a financial services environment supporting the CIB business
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings, optimizing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance
  • Strong leadership, transformation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial controls
  • Ability to create relationships while navigating the regulatory, compliance and legal intricacies of working at a highly regulated business with multiple legal entities
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to senior leaders
  • A self-starter, with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task, meet deadlines, achieve goals and lead under tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong listening and communications skills with the ability to convey complex information and ideas simply and clearly
  • Strong experience navigating a complex and large global banking organization
  • Demonstrated experience around inclusivity in leading and the ability to bring along all key stakeholders into the strategy to ensure the business is operating within our risk framework
  • Inquisitive and proactive mindset with the ability to think creatively to solve problems and anticipate potential questions and issues


Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
