Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.
With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time contract Project Manager to support our IT team.
Position Overview
The IT Project Manager (24-month Contract) role is key to delivering projects and will be responsible for the successful execution of MMC procure to pay technical project. This role requires an adept understanding of Dynamics 365 Business Central with an area of expertise in Procure to Payment and supply chain.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Understand the project comprehensively to Plan and direct all aspects of project management, including, planning, prioritizing, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, establishing milestones and deliverables
- Act as a liaison with business leadership, hospital resources, third party service providers, and individual contractors for the flawless execution of the project
- Track, monitor, report on, and communicate project progress and status utilizing request logs, project plans, requirements reference, quality measures, standard processes, milestones and budgets
- Maintain and enforce the use of policies, procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure effective planning and delivery of services, management of vendors and customers, and maintenance of the 'one build' concept in the shared services environment
- Provide quality assurance of documentation, testing, configuration and development completed by third parties
- Support the cutover planning, go-live execution and post go-live stabilization.
- Maintain the tools and repositories of knowledge materials

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in successful third-party vendor relationships.
- High-quality written and verbal skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prepare and deliver process documentation, requirements, etc.
- Strong supply chain and/or financial background and knowledge
Education, Training, and Experience
- University Degree in IT, Business/Commerce or related field.
- 6-8 years of work experience in Project Management specifically in Supply Chain, shared Financial Transaction Processing or Healthcare industries.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation required.
- Experience with agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience implementing disciplined, documented processes for estimating, scoping, requirements gathering, and other aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing the planning and delivery of $1M+ projects.
- Experience working with project management tools e.g., Planview, MS Project.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics365 core functionality, modules and best practices
Preferred
- Experience working in a hospital and/or public sector environment an asset.
Travel
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
