Northrop Grumman Chief Information and Data Office (CIDO) seeks to fill a Manager Level 3 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead role. The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing the overall SEIT direction for the Northrop Grumman Integrated Development Environment (NGIDE) portfolio team. This role encompasses team leadership, management, and technical performance. The selected candidate will report to the NGIDE portfolio director.

Minimal travel is expected. This position requires an on-site presence at one of our major locations and will allow for occasional telecommuting.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the NGIDE system SEIT scope, spanning multiyear planning through day-to-day baseline scope.


  • Champion CIDO goals from vision to tangible engineering work products to achieve desired outcomes.


  • Develop a properly sized SEIT process in alignment with the overarching CIDO SEMP and PMP, ensuring appropriate customization to specific needs using NGIDE.


  • Lead and ensure adherence to standard SEIT processes while overseeing cost, schedule, and technical quality for SEIT execution across all portfolio efforts.


  • Provide technical oversight of SEIT activities, including reviews for major milestone events (e.g., Requirements Baseline Review, Design Review, Deployment Readiness Review and Capstone Review).


  • Develop, identify, and track engineering metrics to monitor performance and progress. Utilize trends in data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement within SEIT processes.


  • Provide SEIT guidance and influence, ensuring the integrated operation of Integrated Execution Teams (IXTs).


  • Staff system SEIT activities, identify SEIT needs, and collaborate within IXTs.


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in an aerospace or defense-oriented engineering environment.


  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


  • Effective communication and presentation skills.


  • High proficiency in technical problem-solving, including decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, design optimization for production, lifecycle cost analysis, data analytics, and CI/CD automation.


  • Active or current DoD Top Secret Clearance, with recent execution experience at the SAP/SAR or SCI level within the past 2 years.


  • Product lifecycle experience from development through sustainment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience working in a systems engineering, integration, and test environment.


  • 5 years of experience in a SEIT lead role with increasing scope or complexity, encompassing all SE elements (requirements engineering, system architecture and design, system integration, V&V, configuration management, risk management, technical planning, technical reviews, decision analysis, sustainment).


  • Knowledge and working experience with IT systems delivering engineering development capability.


  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty.

Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
