AMSG is seeking a Contract Lead with International Nuclear Safeguards subject matter expertise to support the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control (N-24).

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a Level Q clearance with DOE
Job Type: Full Time, onsite, and contingent upon contract award
Education: Master of Arts/Master of Science in engineering or physical science required
Years of Experience: 15
Contract Lead, International Nuclear Safeguards: A minimum of 15 years of experience in nuclear safeguards, including project management and technical leadership. Must possess and demonstrate through examples or listed publications strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues and propose innovative solutions, as well as experience working with the National Laboratories and the IAEA. Experience monitoring budgetary and technical progress in technical projects and experience with nuclear facility operations and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities:
The Contract Lead, International Nuclear Safeguards will:
- Advise the Safeguards Technology Development Team regarding future initiatives
- Collaborate with National Laboratory Partners and other NNSA stakeholders to generate innovative ideas for enhancing nuclear safeguards.
- Propose and develop new technical initiatives that improve detection, monitoring, and verification processes.
- Expand project scopes based on evolving regulatory requirements and organizational strategies.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline technical milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor technical progress and performance metrics to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks to maintain project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate technical workshops and meetings to promote knowledge sharing and alignment on project goals.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and senior management.
Other requirements:
- Ability to interact daily with the N-24 customer and NNSA organizations in a dynamic, fast paced environment, including multi-tasking and prioritizing requirements;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Background in nonproliferation and arms control;
- Former Action Officer at DOE with knowledge of NNSA/ONAC is a definite plus;
- May include travel requirements in support of the contract ~20%.
