Summary

The Repair Engineer II provides technical and repair support that provides total life-cycle sustainment for the ITAS CLS program. This position will analyze equipment failures to determine the cause and recommend/complete corrective actions along with operating test equipment and perform calibrations and alignment of electro-optical assemblies and sub-assemblies.

The salary for this position is $80,000-$90,000/year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implements and adheres to preventive maintenance programs and keep performance and maintenance records on equipment
  • Act as a direct interface between ITAS CLS program Field Engineers and Depot Technicians
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct CLS administrative tasks as necessary
  • Provides guidance and training as needed for ITAS CLS program Field Engineers and Depot Technicians
  • Enforce compliance with service maintenance management and supply processes and regulations
  • Submit Weekly, monthly status to the ITAS CLS Program Management team
  • Gather information from repairs completed in the McKinney factory for possible product improvements
  • Assist ITAS CLS Depot Operations Manager in the efficient planning and execution of all CLS operations within their areas of responsibility
  • Complete database entry of work orders for processing, storage, and analytical purposes
  • Work with the team to assist in preventative maintenance programs and equipment record keeping
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electronics Science preferred or Military Electronics training or direct experience in testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of Electronic / FLIR systems to include ITAS or similar system
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in depot level evaluation, troubleshooting and repair of military electro-optical assemblies
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in depot repair and test procedures
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience utilizing database software used for tracking inventory, maintenance actions, and requisitions
  • Ability to work directly from approved procedures, schematics, and verbal instructions, troubleshoot electronic components and identify failures, and isolate problems resolve as necessary
  • Ability to perform all supply chain functions including shipping and receiving and inventory management
  • Ability to write or support in the writing of Service Bulletins used in factory, FRA, and field settings
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre- employment drug testing
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance if needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years' of ITAS Improved Target Acquisition System LRUs and SRUs factory level repair experience, electro-optical systems and administrative technical writing experience
  • Experience with FLIR/Electronic Surveillance Systems
  • Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products
  • Ability to analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommended corrective action in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation, devise and implement preventive maintenance programs, keep maintenance records on equipment and participate in the installation planning phase

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk, including the ability to pass on information via the telephone, and verbally communicate with clients, staff and other employees, hear and see in order to perform his or her duties in a safe manner, including occasionally driving. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, bend, push, pull and stand is needed to perform all requirements of this position.
