We are looking to hire a Finance Manager, Technology immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview
The Finance Manager, Technology will be the key Finance partner for the Technology function supporting their day-to-day and strategic needs. Responsibilities will include financial forecast process, budget, month end, SOX controls, and capital project evaluation. The Finance Manager will also lead a Senior Financial Analyst in supporting the Technology function. The Finance Manager will identify and execute opportunities for optimization in our Financial processes and reporting. The Finance Manager will partner with the Technology Leadership team on a regular basis to understand their financial needs, support business case discussions, and provide general financial guidance. With the support of the Senior Director, Finance Transformation, the Finance Manager will provide essential financial support to the Technology function as they drive key Technology initiatives for McCormick overall.

Key Responsibilities
Month End - Independently completes month end close activities, including tracking versus plan and ensuring capturing spend properly as Operating Expense and Capital Expense through partnering with Controllership as needed. Responsible for completing required SOX controls, both reporting and meetings as applicable.
Forecast - Partner with Technology Leadership team and respective leaders to complete the forecast process including updating assumptions, loading to system, and developing the consolidated story for review with Technology Leadership team. Escalate any variances to Senior Director, Finance Transformation for discussion before review with Technology Leadership team
Budget - Support Senior Director, Finance Transformation and Technology Leadership team with development of Annual Budget.
Business Partnership - Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Technology Leaders. Understand how changes in timeline/project needs relate to financials and how the different types of spends are treated from an accounting perspective.
Process and Reporting Optimization - Identify and execute areas of optimization in both process and reporting
Coach and Develop Talent - Manages, motivates, and develops the finance team to provide effective and value-added support to the business. Utilizes coaching and facilitation skills to manage employee relations. Provides regular performance feedback and oversees development/training plans for individuals within the team. Rewards and recognizes performance achievements.

Required Qualifications
Level of Education and Discipline BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen 6+ years of financial analysis or planning experience. Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and basic proficiency of Power Pt & Word required. Excellent analytical, communication and organization skills required. Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability to plan own work and respect deadlines. Specific to Business Unit or functional area. Maintains knowledge of the McCormick businesses, it's processes and the industry in which it operates through attendance at company training programs, industry conferences, etc.

Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence Ability to take initiative and work independently. Higher Level Communication of Complex Information - Good communication and diplomacy skills required in order to exchange complicated or sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of content or intended audience. Good interpersonal, problem solving, financial analysis and communication skills required. External auditor interaction or regulatory agency as applicable on occasion, beyond information gathering and sharing. Operates and communicates effectively across multiple functions up to and including Sr Mgmt.

Other Skills and HPO Competencies Innovative - Develops new solutions to solve business problems and obstacles. Proposes and implements improvements to systems, methods of work and analysis methods and contributes to ensuring that they are continuously adapted to the business requirements. Preferred Qualifications

Level of Education and Discipline MBA
Certification and/or Licenses CPA
Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen SAP/BW/TM1 experience is desirable.
Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence

Base Salary: $100,870 - $176,480

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
