The Opportunity

In this role, you'll:

  • Drive groundbreaking projects advancing telecommunications technology
  • Design and implement innovative solutions enhancing service delivery
  • Support and develop technical talent within teams
  • Advance TELUS' social capitalism initiatives through technological innovation
  • Collaborate with CSE security team, CSE integrator,
  • Assist in integrating projects and daily requests with operational teams


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Drive next-generation telecom solutions development
  • Shape technical strategy and architecture decisions
  • Deliver expert guidance and consulting services
  • Lead infrastructure projects to exceptional standards


Security & Infrastructure Management

  • Review security architectures comprehensively
  • Implement robust security measures, focusing on emerging threats
  • Develop and execute corrective actions for vulnerabilities
  • Create detailed technical reports and recommendations
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of TELUS-managed firewalls and security components


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with enterprise architects and sales teams
  • Lead technical planning and strategy sessions
  • Support team members in problem-solving
  • Promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence


Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • 7+ years in telecommunications or related IT fields
  • Advanced skills in Voice, Operating Systems, Databases, or Networks
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and project success
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field


Technical Expertise

  • Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience with enterprise-level security systems and emerging threats
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and technologies
  • Proficiency in ITIL practices and frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of TELUS-managed firewalls and security components


Additional Assets

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning in telecom
  • Security certifications
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French)

Salary Range: $74,000-$112,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
