Job Summary and Qualifications
Duties include developing long term strategic plans, directing, implementing, training and measuring all current and future Supply Chain distribution centers. Development of business case validations, project plans, operational tools, and the implementation of all current and future project requests by HCA related to fulfillment, distribution, and logistics operations. This position is additionally responsible for maintaining and improving the current Supply Chain safety programs, warehouse security, warehouse facility and infrastructure, capital planning and budgeting, and business continuity (disaster preparedness) for Supply Chain within HCA and 3rd party contracted operations. Development and implementation of policies and procedures as well as working with facility personnel to develop and test new best practices for additions or modifications to the operating model.
In addition, this position will be responsible for ongoing development and reengineering of future state supply chain strategies for all areas of responsibility to include Warehouse Automation, Conveyor and sortation strategy, warehouse format, distribution network analysis, and warehouse-management and Inventory optimization systems development and integration. This position is also responsible for the development and execution of formal communications and training programs for supply chain operations within all areas of responsibility.

What you will do in this role includes:
- Develop and implement strategic direct sourcing (disintermediation) strategies including but not limited to HealthTrust's Global Sourcing initiatives.
- Develop and assist Division Supply Chain leadership to help manage operations to an annual aggregate operating budget.
- Manage the Consolidated Service Center (CSC) distribution operations, safety, security, disaster recovery throughout HCA utilizing standardized policies, procedures and best practices.
- Develop and manage the global supply chain key performance metrics to ensure operational performance goals are identified and meet or exceed industry standards throughout the company.
- Identify and drive execution of continuous improvement opportunities within supply chain operations based on results of operating and financial performance indicators.
- Develop and implement information systems solution strategies with IT&S to support regional and local distribution operations and other strategic business initiatives.
- Represent HCA in industry group settings and seek knowledge of supply chain strategies from the industry.
- Drive and maintain Division executive management support of the Supply Chain organization and its initiatives.
- Coordinate and analyze the success of annual division audits and ensure that corrective actions are initiated to ensure compliance with Audit and Sarbanes Oxley regulatory requirements.
- Support Division Supply Chain CEOs in minimizing overall costs and maximizing savings through the implementation of strategic operational and supply cost savings initiatives.
- Coordinate with Facility Operations to implement, improve, and optimize end-to-end requisition, fulfillment, delivery, returns process and systems in support of all HCA operating locations serviced by Supply Chain distribution centers
- Create and implement strategic plans to leverage the company's consolidated Supply Chain infrastructure assets.
- Create and implement automated tracking, maintenance and requests for replacement of the company's consolidated supply chain infrastructure assets, Including Capital management and tracking, useful life guidelines and replacement strategy
- Implement all future consolidation initiatives ensuring consistent implementation of the distribution and freight operating platform. Lead the initiative to migrate to fewer highly automated distribution locations, while maintaining world class service
- Lead and direct Supply Chain's project management organization and its resources in all areas of responsibility
- Negotiate and implement Supply Chain outsource agreements with HealthTrust members and divested HCA hospitals. Serve as the liaison for 3rd party customers in all areas of responsibility.
- Develop and implement business continuity (disaster recovery) strategies for all CSC and distribution
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree (Required) Masters (strongly preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years in a regional or global distribution setting to include operational experience developing, setting and implementing regional distribution centers with full conveyor, sortation and goods-to person robotic technology (Required)
- Extensive knowledge of integrated supply chain distribution operations.
- Extensive knowledge of Industry leading warehouse automation to include Conveyor, sortation, Cobot assisted pick programs and fully automated goods-to person technologies
- General knowledge of healthcare manufacturers and their products.
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals over a variety of tasks.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills; solutions-driven.
- Excellent analytical/financial/budget planning skills.
- Diplomatic-level skill in developing effective working relationships.
- Self-disciplined in time management, organization skills and meeting deadlines.
