In this senior role, you will:
- Spearhead technical design for assigned projects, ensuring the highest quality standards within budget and schedule constraints.
- Provide technical supervision and guidance to junior engineers.
- Contribute to the standardization process within the structural engineering group, promoting efficiency and consistency.
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Communicate effectively with clients, clearly conveying project updates and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other disciplines - architectural, mechanical, etc. - to ensure project-wide cohesion.
- Review and approve structural packages, providing clear instructions for production teams.
- Issue construction packages to clients, facilitating smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
- 10-20 years of experience in structural engineering within the industrial sector, specifically with small/medium chemical plants and terminals.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects on a tight budget.
- Extensive experience with equipment foundations and supports, pipe racks, access platforms, and related structural elements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
