ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MARKETING - RARE DISEASE BUSINESS UNIT - TEPEZZA

What you will do

The Associate Director Marketing will lead the development of the promotional tools leveraged by the sales team. This role partners with market research to generate the insights needed to support the evolution of the messaging for endocrinologists. As the Associate Director, you would work collaboratively with digital marketing, consumer marketing, sales, medical and patient services to ensure that communications are consistent and addressing the strategic imperatives in all channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive implementation of the brand strategy for endocrinologists focusing on the development of promotional and educational materials
  • Lead the development and evolution of the core visual aid and derivative tools used by the endocrinology sales team
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure consistency, grow product adoption and drive the confidence of endocrinologists to identify, diagnose and treat Thyroid Eye Disease (TED)
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand plan instilling research and field driven insights and tactical recommendations
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the disease state, competitive landscape and therapeutic management for TED
  • Collaborate with Market Research to implement the endocrinology market research plan
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive activity and market dynamics and leverage insights to inform segmentation, channel mix preferences, and targeting of customer segments
  • Effectively and consistently execute multiple, simultaneous projects and manage resources to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and answer business objectives
  • Manage external partners (ad agency, meeting planners, market researchers & consultants) to ensure integration and consistency of strategies, message and tactics

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of Marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 5 years of Marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 7 years of Marketing experience

OR

Associate's degree and 12 years of Marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior marketing and/or agency experience in healthcare
Rare disease experience
Experience creating marketing materials and taking them through internal review
Knowledge of the market research process and principles
Expertise working across multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors
Strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills
Team-oriented attitude ad excellent collaboration skills
Experienced in managing tactics through the regulatory approval process
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Professional, proactive demeanor
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requires approximately 15-20% travel
