Summary

Our Procurement Manager will work closely with Chobani's suppliers and internal team members to drive performance management, quality assurance, continuous improvement, innovation, supply availability, competitive costs, and productivity savings for our packaging materials.

This role will develop Strategic Sourcing Strategies for Chobani's ingredients by using knowledge of:
  • Utilization of the Seven Step Process
  • Market analysis
  • Business need assessment
  • Supplier visitations and negotiations
  • Contract implementation


Responsibilities

  • Perform spend, contract and market analysis for packaging categories
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects working cross functionally with internal and external business partners
  • Develop partnerships with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Marketing/Creative, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Procurement
  • Identify and implement packaging materials purchasing initiatives and others for cost improvement, material reduction, and quality
  • Plan sourcing of fruit preparations and services to support manufacturing and operations strategic plans
  • Follow and implement fruit strategy in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Drive high productivity goals and create pipeline of projects
  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure Chobani obtains best quality, delivery and price for fruit goods and services
  • Generate materials in support of presentation, workshops, and negotiations
  • Communicate sourcing decisions to Management
  • Identify and implement creative solutions to ensure product availability by working in conjunction with external suppliers, R&D, Regulatory and Quality


Requirements

  • 3+ years using strategic sourcing in a CPG or food environment required
  • 2+ years procurement packaging and balancing multiple projects required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Progressive experience using strategic sourcing methodologies
  • Experience in successful negotiations and results YOY
  • Ability to form strong alignment with partners and Leadership Team
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in category management
  • Thrives in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Excellent Project Management Skills: complete against timelines, summarize complex situations and coordinate with internal team members for Innovation and Productivity projects
  • Demonstrate strategic problem-solving skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Advanced analytical skills with the capability to strategically influence to drive and deliver objectives and execution
  • Takes initiative to deliver business results and improvement to P&L
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to travel to Chobani's locations in New York, Idaho, and supplier facilities (up to 25%)

Compensation Range: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00, plus bonus.
