Job Overview
Be the FCC Technical Policy Manager working closely with VP of Regulatory affairs & Spectrum management and with VP Market Access to shape FCC rules, policy and engagement
Duties will include:
Draft persuasive pleadings to the FCC for a full slate of satellite and spectrum rulemaking proceedings
Prepare space station applications. Ensure compliance with national and international telecom and spectrum regulations and processes.
Forge creative solutions to complex regulatory issues facing OneWeb. Bring together the right folks internally to discuss & determine OneWeb strategy.
Distill FCC proceedings, rules and policies for management's consumption
Advocate for OneWeb in industry associations and build towards consensus views
What It Takes:
In depth knowledge and understanding of the FCC rules and policies governing NGSO and GSO systems, as well as FCC rules and policies regarding sharing between satellite systems and other services
Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive pleadings and work with technical teams to translate complicated concepts into pleadings understood by other attorneys and government staff
Understanding of commercial satellite industry with strong informal networks in industry & the government
JD degree or international equivalent Law degree; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecom Policy or Engineering
