About You

To devise a Sales and Technical training strategy guided by key business drivers, building learning plans, develop content and deliver comprehensive training programs that prepare our team to be successful. The Sr. Manager, Commercial Learning and Development will be responsible in part or whole, for the development, guidance and execution of core curriculum for sales, marketing, product launch, and ongoing training for our field staff and customers

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of training plans for commercial teams to meet organizational goals
  • Plan, develop, coordinate and execute sales and technical training programs, ongoing training modules, launch training, educational materials, application activities (Live and Virtual), and assessments.
  • Assist in translating national brand plans and tactics into development of message practice, and role play scenarios to support sales strategy.
  • Provide learner feedback to sales management with recommendations for follow-up and coaching
  • Design and analyze assessments to identify and develop future learning opportunities
  • Manage external vendors to build high quality learning content; ensure delivery on time and within a set budget.
  • Engage broadly with the North American Sales and Marketing leadership, commercial learning, and field trainers to ensure alignment and achievement or organization.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of related technical experience required
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and PowerBI. Must be capable of providing clear, concise reporting
  • Intermediate SAP knowledge preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Advanced understanding of the repair, operation, and troubleshooting of small 2-cycle and 4-cycle internal combustion engines, handheld portable power equipment, and small battery and electric powered hand tools is required
  • Must be able to travel approximately 12 trips annually (3 to 5 consecutive days) by road and/or air
