About the Role:
Supports and leads the Neurocrine Biosciences Medical Affairs (MA) training plans and deliverables. This role involves close collaboration with the Field Medical team, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Medical Communications leadership to develop and oversee the onboarding and training curriculum for Medical Affairs staff.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $108,600.00-$157,350.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

About the Role:
Supports and leads the Neurocrine Biosciences Medical Affairs (MA) training plans and deliverables. This role involves close collaboration with the Field Medical team, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Medical Communications leadership to develop and oversee the onboarding and training curriculum for Medical Affairs staff.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Participates in the development and updating of high-quality medical affairs education and training plans and materials to cultivate a consistent and in-depth understanding of scientific knowledge on Neurocrine products, disease states, and competitor data aligned with product scientific platforms
- Takes charge of the implementation of training systems/platforms to ensure smooth training processes; coordinates all training plans, activities, and events, including modules/slides, guest speakers, e-learning, webinars, live meetings, workshops, posters, and podcasts
- Documents and supports ongoing training assessment needs to tailor training packages and plans effectively
- Monitors Neurocrine's Field Medical teams for compliance with assigned training/certification plans
- Ensures all relevant SOPs, policies, and procedures are up-to-date
- Collaborate with Medical Training Managers and cross-functional teams to identify training needs and gaps, and assist in the creation of targeted training programs
- Coordinate and execute training sessions, workshops, and web-based learning programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards
- Assist in evaluating the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback analysis, assessment results, and key performance indicators
- Stay informed of new training modalities and technology and contribute to the updating and revision of training content accordingly
- Assist in the management of the budget and resources for medical training initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation and reporting on utilization
- Contribute to the development of training strategies, including incorporating industry best practices and compliance requirements into materials and delivery methods
- Act as a subject matter expert on LMS (ComplianceWire), providing guidance and training support to internal stakeholders as needed
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Life Sciences or similar field and 4+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs capacity (Med Publications and/or Medical Communications). Some experience in a scientific or technical training role preferred. OR
- Master's in Life Sciences or similar field and 2+ years of related experience as noted above OR
- JD or PharmD or PhD in Life Sciences or similar field and some related experience
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness in training initiatives
- In-depth understanding of medical and scientific principles related to pharmaceutical products and disease states, with a specific focus on Neurocrine products.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies to develop effective educational materials and training programs.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards governing medical education and training within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of soft skills training and development, including communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Neurocrine's business objectives, services, and customers, with a strong ability to acquire and utilize higher-level knowledge and skills within a specific functional discipline
- Strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas
- Exceptional ability to work as part of a team and provide leadership in training initiatives
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in training systems/platforms
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strategic understanding of broader departmental goals
