ManTech seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Government Procurement Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for government contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and optimizing procurement strategies to support the Program's objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for government contracts. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. Ensure all procurement activities comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government procurement policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to government agencies. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors. Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Review and interpret contract terms and conditions. Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all procurement activities.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure alignment on procurement activities. Communicate effectively with government representatives and stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to team members on procurement-related matters.
  • Exhibit excellent judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adhering to professional standards and operational and security guidelines.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in government procurement or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing procurement processes for government contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to include effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Relevant certifications like Certified Public Procurement Buyer (CPPB), Certified Supply Chain Professional, or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) strongly preferred.
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred.
  • A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and move within the space.
  • Must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, IT service requests, and work orders.
