As the Management Analyst II, you will provide mid-level analytical and administrative support to improve organizational efficiency, performance, and decision-making processes in a dynamic and mission-critical environment. for the Professional and Administrative Support Services at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division.
What does a typical day look like for the Management Analyst II?
You will:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on management practices, procedures, and organizational structures to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies for optimized administrative operations.
- Analyze programmatic data to support budget preparation, manpower planning, workload analysis, and operational assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, presentations, and metrics to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor and track project deliverables, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely execution and compliance with government requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, contracts, and technical departments to ensure alignment of support services.
- Support the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and special projects in coordination with NSWC PHD staff.
- Maintain and update databases, SharePoint sites, and other tracking tools used for administrative and programmatic functions.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.
- Significant experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
- Experience in one or more of the following: recruitment, employee retention, and employee training/development.
- Experience in space management and facilities maintenance; building or supporting construction project management is preferred.
- Experience in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) supporting enterprise level safety programs.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
- Experience supporting OSH efforts to include:
- Industrial hygiene
- Fire safety
- Medical surveillance
- Forklifts and / or overhead cranes.
- Underlying skills and experience in:
- Inspections
- Systems administrator
- Investigations
- Customer service
- Experience supporting Explosive Safety or ordnance inventory management in systems such as Ordnance Information System.
- Experience tracking, managing and reporting on the flow of goods, materials and resources using inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-visibility setting.
