As Associate Manager, Team Wear and Workplace Operations, you will be playing a critical role in Workplace, managing two teams with diverse scopes at various Tesla's Bay Area Manufacturing sites impacting over 20K employees. One team of (10) team wear associates responsible for inventory, purchasing and store front operations. One team of (11) workplace operations project managers and associates responsible for factory planning projects, event set ups, furniture inventory and deployment, and office moves. You will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with Manufacturing, Security, HR, and other organizations while ensuring day-to-day operations are buttoned down and workplace projects are on schedule and under budget. The ideal candidate will be extremely self-motivated and is able to mentor team members to challenge the status quo and elevate their performance. Must have a flexible work schedule and can manage across various shifts.

Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Execute and continuously improve teamwear programs (e.g., winter jackets, safety vests, reflective gear), while identifying areas where policy enforcement can lead to cost savings
- Resource Maximization: Integrate workplace operations and teamwear functions by cross-utilizing associates and materials to maximize resource value across factory programs
- Financial Forecast and Inventory Management: Collaborate with HR and recruiting to forecast teamwear needs 6 months in advance; manage inventory and vendor relationships through regular audits and cost-saving initiatives
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement SOPs for tracking workplace operations, ensuring furniture and materials are accounted for during office moves, events, and daily work orders
- Team Development: Manage 3 Workplace Operations Coordinators, providing mentorship and guiding them to lead their own projects in collaboration with planning and construction teams
- Feedback Loop: Partner with the Factory Experience Associate Manager to implement improvements in teamwear and events based on employee feedback and evolving business needs
Requirements
- Experience improving operational programs and identifying cost-saving opportunities through policy enforcement and process reviews
- Ability to strategically cross-utilize team members and resources across multiple programs to increase operational efficiency
- Strong forecasting and inventory management skills, with experience working with vendors, GSMs, and cross-functional teams like HR and Recruiting
- Proven ability to create and implement SOPs that ensure consistency and accountability in daily workplace operations
- Demonstrated leadership in managing coordinators, mentoring talent, and aligning team priorities with business needs
- Skilled in using employee and stakeholder feedback to drive service enhancements in both teamwear and workplace programs

$88,000 - $150,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
