Description:
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
New York, NY, USA
Amazon Stores Proactive Security is looking for world-class scientists to join the Data Intelligence & Analytics team within Stores Security. You will join a team of engineers and scientists developing advanced techniques to automate security reviews and enhance decision-making processes across Amazon's security operations. This group will be visible across Stores Security teams and to Amazon security leadership as a source of innovative AI solutions that revolutionize how we approach security operations.
Each day, thousands of builders and security reviewers interact with our security products and processes, generating vast amounts of security-related data and documentation. The Stores Proactive Security Data Intelligence team owns the transformation of this data into automated, intelligent solutions that streamline security operations. Our team works with security engineers and product teams across Stores Security to ensure that our security review processes are efficient and data-driven. We dive deep into technologies such as large language models, document processing systems, predictive analytics, and machine learning to automatically extract security knowledge, predict risks, and provide insights that enhance security decision-making.
You will identify, extend, and prototype advanced AI techniques that can be applied to solve hard problems in security operations. In some cases, your team will invent new approaches for automating security knowledge extraction and decision-making. In other cases, your team will identify and adapt existing approaches from the field of AI/ML. You will work with security experts and software developers to integrate these techniques into Stores Security's mechanisms for reducing manual effort and improving consistency in security operations. Stores Security will look to your team to find the techniques that will radically improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our security processes.
While you may not be a security expert yet, in this role you will develop a broad and deep understanding of security operations and automation opportunities. Our team puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren't focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we're happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life-both in and outside of work.
Key job responsibilities

* Track relevant research in other Amazon science teams and in the broader research community.
