Description:

Osmose is seeking a new Director of Contracts who will be responsible for the overall development of contract proposals submitted to customers with the appropriate process design between sales and operations.

Responsibilities and What You'll Do:

Leadership
  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of nine (including one remote team member), fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Motivate and mentor staff, setting clear expectations and promoting growth and accountability.
  • Navigate and influence strong-willed stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.

Oversee Contract & Proposal Management
  • Manage the complete proposal lifecycle including creation, revision, approval, and amendment.
  • Ensure all contracts are explicit, clear, and aligned with Osmose's commercial terms-no vague language, no ambiguity.
  • Negotiate contract terms directly with customers and partners to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Support the development of contract templates and playbooks that reflect best practices and internal standards.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Pricing, Sales, and Operations to align contract terms with business objectives.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Resolve obstacles related to scope, legal terms, and commercial conditions with a solution-oriented mindset.

Process Optimization & Technology Adoption
  • Identify and implement tools, systems, and practices to improve proposal accuracy, contract speed, and overall efficiency.
  • Champion the adoption and use of proposal and contract platforms such as:
  • Loopio, Responsive, PandaDoc, Rohirrim, Conveyer - experience with any is a strong plus
  • ContractLogix - experience preferred

Understand the Business
  • Develop a strong understanding of Osmose's product lines and services to ensure proposals and contracts are aligned with operational capabilities and customer expectations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Communications, or a related field (JD or Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in contract administration, legal, or commercial operations roles
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of proposal development and contract negotiation best practices
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with proposal or contract software tools such as Loopio, Responsive, PandaDoc, Rohirrim, Conveyer, or ContractLogix is a plus

20% Travel between both PTC and Atlanta offices.
