Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading engineering firm that provides comprehensive solutions for critical facility and life safety monitoring and controls systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, program, and implement PLC systems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
  • Work with a variety of automation hardware and software from manufacturers including Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, G.E., Modicon, WonderWare, Indusoft, Ignition, and SCADA.
  • Read, interpret, and modify electrical control schematics, logic diagrams, and flow diagrams.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed in all programming and operational procedures.
  • Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot system issues, providing quick and effective solutions.
  • Specify, design, and install automation programs tailored to customer needs, including configuring devices such as VFDs.
  • Modify existing programs to meet specific project requirements and enhance system performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Field Service Engineers in programming, repair, installation, and maintenance of PLC systems.
  • Develop operating procedures and serve as a key problem-solver and advisor on PLC-related issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in PLC programming.
  • Proficiency with various automation hardware and software platforms.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control schematics and safety protocols.
  • Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams for design, programming, and testing.
  • Experience in system monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
