As a Staff Product Manager focused on our Data Platform, you'll play a crucial role in shaping, prioritizing, and delivering data initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives. Your work will directly empower analytics engineers, data scientists, and analysts by providing reliable, scalable data products and services.

You will report directly to the VP of Product Management. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC headquarters 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership: Own the product roadmap for the Data Platform team, balancing technical feasibility, user impact, and business goals.
  • Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision and strategy for the data platform, aligning closely with Squarespace's broader strategic objectives.
  • Technical Roadmap: Lead user discovery and market research to deeply understand current and future user needs, translating insights into actionable roadmaps.
  • Data Integration & Reliability: Prioritize and oversee data integration projects, ensuring they meet accuracy, latency, and availability service-level objectives (SLOs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with analytics product managers and technical teams to champion data quality, reliability, and best practices across Squarespace.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate strategy, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders across the company, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
Who We're Looking For
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management or technical leadership experience, ideally in data-intensive environments.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep expertise in data systems architecture, microservices, and infrastructure design, with the capability to engage in technical decisions.
  • Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability in end-to-end system design, including knowledge of component-based architectures, data storage solutions, and integration methods.
  • Data Architecture: Experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing, including familiarity with large-scale data model improvements.
  • API Design: Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns to enable seamless interoperability.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred.

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $299,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
