The Role

Our BANKING & FINANCIAL SERVICES CONSULTING PRACTICE group is looking for a Scrum Master with specific experience in SAFe to join our journey

We're looking for Sr. Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Sr. Consulting Manager, this means leading a team of Consultants through a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to People Care initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. Responsibilities
You will facilitate team events support Agile Release Trains ARTs and help the team deliver high quality products
Strong understanding of SAFe Scrum Agile methodologies and related frameworks Excellent communication
Facilitate SAFe Events Organize and lead daily standups sprint planning sprint reviews retrospectives and PI Program Increment planning
Coach Team Members Educate the team on Scrum Kanban Extreme Programming XP and SAFe practices fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Remove Obstacles Identify and eliminate impediments that hinder the team's progress
Support ARTs Assist in coordinating and participating in Agile Release Train events ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams
Manage Backlogs Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog
Ensure Quality Promote built in quality practices and ensure adherence to quality standards
Promote Continuous Improvement Encourage a culture of learning and adaptation facilitating team dynamics and continuous flow Candidate should be willing to relocate work from HQ
  • Conduct recruitment activities, support onboarding, contribute or conduct performance reviews, lead career growth discussions with Business Analysts, Consultants, and Senior Consultants.


Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of experience
Should have hands on working experience as a SAFe RTE and certified in SAFe
Proven experience as a Scrum Master with specific experience in SAFe
Strong understanding of SAFe Scrum Agile methodologies and related frameworks Excellent communication
  • The ability to set and manage multiple project plans for a single client; a command of project management principles and a track record of applying them to drive transformation successfully.
  • Experience leading technical and non-technical initiatives; previous experience coordinating workstreams in multi-team projects, ideally using an onsite / offshore model
  • Leadership skills that bring out the best in others; the ability to oversee multiple Consultants and non-consultants who are working toward a common goal - the best possible outcome for a client
  • A desire to work with enterprise-level clients and the ability to manage through complexity
