Position Overview
The Director of Project Management is responsible for overseeing and leading multiple project teams to ensure successful delivery of civil engineering projects. This role requires strategic planning, execution, and management of project schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project management team within the Civil Division.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for various civil engineering projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for ongoing projects.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction documents and contracts with subcontractors.
- Facilitate negotiations with stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with project partners.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the civil engineering/utilities sector.
- 4+ years of experience leading a department
- Familiarity with complex utilities projects such as storm sewers, water lines, gas mains etc.
- Experience in Vista Viewpoint software strongly preferred
- Proven expertise in utilities management and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, particularly in construction.
- Experience with Cloudrig is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
