The Sr. Manager, Merchandising - Canada is responsible for delivering market-relevant product strategies, driving commercial opportunities, and ensuring that assortments align with Canadian market dynamics. This role requires a strong focus on performance insights, pricing oversight, assortment relevance, and agility in response to market demands. The In-Season Merchant will work closely with Cluster Merchandising, Pricing & Promo team, Canada Planning, Marketing, and key stakeholders to execute revenue-driving product strategies aligned with brand vision and local consumer needs.
The role also involves presenting product strategies and supporting key customer meetings to establish a strong merchandising presence in Canada. Special projects, market insights, and local marketing activation initiatives are additional key responsibilities.

About You
This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $145,000- $180,000 per yearWe may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.

About the Job
Performance & Market Insights:
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to optimize product performance.
- Present performance insights and commercial opportunities to Cluster merchants and Canada cross-functional teams and leadership, ensuring alignment with Canadian market demands.
- Maintain a strong market presence by continuously researching consumer preferences, competitor strategies, and emerging trends to accelerate business strategies.
Merchandising & Product Strategy:
- Maintain alignment with the established product and pricing architecture to uphold brand positioning and value perception, ensuring a cohesive approach across markets within the cluster
- Lead and coordinate the Canada merchandising brief across all channels, ensuring market-specific and data-driven insights inform decision-making.
- Partner with Cluster Merchandising to review seasonal assortments, ensuring they align with Canadian business needs and making necessary adjustments for market relevance.
- Ensure product sizing strategies meet Canadian consumer needs by working cross-functionally with the Canada Planning, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Partner with the Cluster Pricing & Promo team to provide Canada-specific insights on pricing and promotional strategies, ensuring alignment with FX fluctuations, market positioning, and cluster dynamics while maintaining consistency with brand guardrails.
- Support the execution of pricing strategies by providing feedback on local market trends and consumer behaviors, ensuring that pricing decisions made at the cluster level are effectively implemented and optimized for the Canadian business.
- Maintain alignment with the established product and pricing architecture to uphold brand positioning and value perception, ensuring a cohesive approach across markets within the cluster
- Drive in-season agility by identifying unique Canadian market trends and executing reactive strategies, including chase and replenishment opportunities.
- Strategic Milestones & Market Execution:
- Drive key product presentations for Canada's cross-functional teams at strategic milestones, ensuring alignment on product nuances, market priorities, and overarching merchandising strategies.
- Represent merchandising in high-impact moments, including customer meetings, store leader engagements, and major product launches, to strengthen execution and market adoption.
- Collaborate with BX (Brand Experience) and Canada Marketing partners to activate key product priorities, optimizing visibility and consumer engagement across the Canadian market.
Business Growth & Special Projects:
- Drive Canadian-specific special projects and initiatives, including partnerships with key retailers (e.g., Holt Renfrew) and localized merchandising opportunities.
- Establish a strong merchandising presence in Canada through strategic leadership in key business conversations, cross-functional collaboration, and market visits.
About You
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct merchandising, buying, or planning experience at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian apparel market dynamics, pricing strategies, and consumer behavior.
- Ability to analyze complex sales data and translate insights into clear product strategies.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, working across Cluster Merchandising, Canada Planning, Canada Marketing, and Leadership teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and inspire confidence in product strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
