For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.
Apex manufactures these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for manufacturing. Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated IT Manager to join our team. This is an individual contributor role, pivotal to ensuring that our IT systems are compliant with federal mandates and that our progress is not hindered by IT. The IT Manager will have significant responsibility for setting up and maintaining IT systems and creating a scalable environment for our future growth.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $180,000 a year

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated IT Manager to join our team. This is an individual contributor role, pivotal to ensuring that our IT systems are compliant with federal mandates and that our progress is not hindered by IT. The IT Manager will have significant responsibility for setting up and maintaining IT systems and creating a scalable environment for our future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment, configuration, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, adhering to best practices, particularly those relating international cybersecurity standards, U.S. export controls, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Technical Expertise in IT infrastructure, including a deep understanding of hardware, servers, virtualization, storage, services, platforms, etc.
- Management of active directory, domain policy, and integration with windows and Linux systems alike.
- Proficiency in managing windows and Linux servers and configuration management for a large deployment of endpoints.
- Train team members on new technologies and IT best practices and procedures to create a more knowledgeable team company wide.
- Ensure all actions taken to improve IT are done with minimal disruption to operations while maintaining the security and privacy of the network and systems.
- Remain up to date on emerging technologies and trends that could potentially impact the software development and IT landscape.
Requirements:
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related qualification.
- Must have experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, US Export Controls, and ITAR/EAR.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT Systems.
- Experience developing IT security systems, incidence response procedures, and developing reporting protocols.
- Expertise in the Microsoft suite and GCC High, TeamCenter, and NX.
- Knowledge and experience of setting up physical security (cameras, access control, etc).
- A firm grasp of IT security protocols, data privacy laws, and risk management techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
- Familiarity with Fed Ramp and SCIF experience is a plus
