The Senior Manager, Global ML/TF Risk Detection and Analytics is responsible for supporting the enterprise in understanding the AML/ATF and sanctions risk profile of the business units and identifying and reporting AML/ATF and sanctions risks. The Senior Manager is also responsible for escalating elevated or unacceptable risks and guiding the business in the design and implementation of first-line AML controls.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Data Analytics:
    • Drive the development and implementation of data analytics solutions to detect and report money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
    • Utilize Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and other Business Insights tools to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy innovative risk detection tools and methodologies.
    • Provide expert guidance and support to senior executives on data-driven decision-making processes.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk detection strategies and recommend improvements.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging threats related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
    • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication.


  • Implementation and oversight of the Enterprise AML/ATF Program:
    • Support ongoing improvements to the Enterprise AML/ATF Program across all applicable business units.
    • Assist with the generation and interpretation of quantitative data to ensure that metrics are within tolerance and action plans are in place where appropriate.
  • Enterprise risk assessment and associated reviews:
    • Contribute towards thematic risk appetite statements to clearly articulate the CAMLO's position on specific topics, business segments, and customer types.
  • Transaction Monitoring
    • Assist in the preparation and delivery of ongoing assessment of effective coverage of all relevant transactional activity
  • Leadership & Teamwork:
    • Champion a high-performance environment by fostering an inclusive work environment.
    • Support technical excellence by searching out external best practices, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge, and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of the team and its stakeholders.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:

  • A post-secondary degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in AML, compliance, business operations, and/or audit in a matrix financial institution; or its equivalent in education and years of experience.
  • Extensive practical experience in developing management information leveraging the latest Business Insight technologies.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with solid organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize activities to effectively react to a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity when working with colleagues and leading others by setting an example of required behaviors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team leadership, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence other senior stakeholders across a wide range of strategic initiatives and agendas.
  • High client focus and high risk management focus.
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional business relationships.
  • Proven experience identifying and implementing process enhancements as well as overseeing the resolution of process deficiencies and driving operational efficiency without compromising compliance requirements.
  • Results-oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to present to senior executives confidently and effectively.
  • Functional fluency in Spanish and experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and geographical locations.
