Description

The Enterprise Analyst supports the business using advanced analytics to solve business problems including but not limited to linking financial, client, operations and other transactional datasets that drive the current and future business opportunities forward. Initial focus area would be the various business units within the Operations org.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various business units to understand need, opportunity, and pain points.
  • Provide project support to corporate initiatives from other departments that need representation from Enterprise Analytics to develop a key capability.
  • Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions.
  • Works directly with clients and project and business leaders to identify analytical requirements. Primary clients and stakeholders would be the entire Operations org.
  • Develops and maintain datasets, business rules, reports and corporate dashboards, to support regular reporting, monitoring, analyses and decision-making.
  • Develops and maintain clients' requirements documentation for reporting and analytics needs as well as assisting in prioritization and management of reporting & analytics requests.
  • Regular sharing of insight and impact of analysis and or projects with crisp and clear stories that warrant action.
  • Help define and implement best practice by collaborating and encouraging a sense of analyst community among their peers and help contribute to the culture we want to build.


Education

  • College / University education in commerce, computer sciences or management engineering or data science.
  • Specialized courses or certificates from Big Data/Data management program.
  • Certificate in Quality/Business Analysis is an asset.


Experience

  • 3-5 years experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets including SAP, Salesforce, InfoHub, FMR (Courier), CLI (Freight), and / or other database systems /datasets.
  • Experience reporting into a sales and marketing, operations, finance or CRM function where exposure to complex business problems lead to highly coordinated and time sensitive projects is an asset.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience is an asset.
