The Financial Analyst position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.
As the Financial Analyst, you will:
- Contribute in financial forecasting: Support the monthly and annual budgeting process, contribute to financial model updates, and ensure data accuracy.
- Support business partnerships: Collaborate with team members to gather data for expense, headcount, and compensation modeling.
- Contribute to financial reporting: Aid in the preparation of monthly/quarterly reports, analyze basic variances, and assist with data validation.
- Support product profitability analysis: Assist in the creation of product-level reports and contribute to cost allocation processes.
- Assist in process improvement and tool implementation: Help with data entry, automation tasks, and learn to use FP&A tools and reporting systems.
About You:
- 0-2+ years of finance/accounting experience.
- High proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Financial ERP systems.
- Experience working with large data sets to disseminate trend analysis for forecasting / manipulating data to tell a story with supporting evidence.
- Ability to lead work initiatives with cross functional coordination with stakeholders.
- Ability to disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details and accuracy.
- Highly motivated, quick learner and enthusiastic about their work.
- Willingness to travel to the Oakland office monthly to collaborate with other Earnies.
Even Better:
- Prior experience working in the lending industry is highly valuable.
- Very strong Excel and deck/slide creation (PowerPoint) skills.
- Big plus if they can write code scripts (Python, R or other equivalent) to automate and streamline reporting and processes.
- Formula auditing.
- SQL or other database coding experience.
- Experience rolling out new products/analyzing new product financials.

- This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- While you'll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, we also love to see our Earnies face-to-face! We ask you to join us at our Oakland office for 3 consecutive days a month for team collaboration and some fun. It's a chance to connect, share ideas, and maybe even grab some coffee together!
