Senior Field Service Technician - Water Purification Systems
Location: Remote (Greater San Francisco Bay Area)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to help lead and grow our presence in the San Francisco Bay Area. As our first hire in the region, you will serve as the face of our company to customers-providing expert technical support, building strong client relationships, and setting the tone for our future service operations. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a territory and play a key role as we expand our Field Service team in the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in your territory, delivering excellent service and building long-term relationships.

  • Perform on-site troubleshooting, installation support, commissioning, and preventative maintenance on ultrapure water purification systems.

  • Conduct classroom and hands-on training for customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex field service issues, including electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation-related problems.

  • Make system adjustments to meet technical and performance specifications.

  • Proactively identify and communicate service opportunities that enhance system reliability and performance.

  • Provide timely and detailed service reports using computer-based tools.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to relay field insights and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Manage travel logistics, expenses, and scheduling efficiently while supporting multiple customer sites.
Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification strongly preferred.

  • 4-6 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or OEM environment.

  • PLC experience required, including troubleshooting and adjustments.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and blueprints.

  • Experience working with instrumentation and industrial electrical components.

  • Water purification system knowledge is a plus but not required-training provided.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices (electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc.).

  • Professional, customer-focused communicator with the ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field service reporting systems.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area and occasionally beyond.
