Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer in the Charlotte, NC area.

Job Description:

• Creating efficient, cost-effective commercial, higher education, institutional, and light industrial facilities design
• Engineering design for residential and commercial mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and process systems
• Assisting in developing and maintaining project work plan
• Coordinating with electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines
• Modifying designs after quality control review by senior designers or engineers.

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in the design and drafting of residential, commercial, institutional, or light industrial mechanical systems
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed P.E. or experienced E.I.T. eligible to sit for P.E. exam
• Ability to work independently and as a strong team player
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit MEP
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MathCAD

Preferred:

• Current PE highly preferred

Pay range: $90,000 - $124,000 annual salary
Term of assignment: Direct Hire
Pay method when direct: Salary
Location of job: Charlotte, NC
Hours and shift: Monday - Thursday (8AM - 6PM) Friday (8AM - 12PM)
Work from home: Not in beginning but flexible down the line
Working remote: No
Travel: no
Work attire: Business Casual - Friday jeans
