ECS is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to provide IT systems engineering and administration support in a highly virtualized environment running Microsoft server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. In this role, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability and integrity of all core infrastructure and services within a globally distributed enterprise solution providing endpoint security services to over 700,000 distributed workstations and servers. Advanced knowledge of Windows server and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems is required. Proven experience in the deployment, operations, and maintenance of VMware technologies is crucial to success. This position assumes responsibility for data backups, restores, system patching, and security compliance. Along with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and services at nine global datacenters on two different mission networks using 100% remote/lights-out management practices. A severe attention to detail and service oriented mindset will be paramount to success in this role. Primary customer interaction involves resolving support issues for the engineering community using ITSM ticketing and/or task based assignment methods. Work directly with other Cybersecurity professionals and team members to maintain security compliance requirements in support of RMF based accreditation. Support the creation of detail documentation for new and established processes and procedures in the form of Wiki articles and knowledge base updates. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical problems on a global scale and with advanced complexity. This candidate will provide all tiers of engineering and administration support from resetting passwords and applying patch/upgrades to supporting design and architecture development efforts of new global solutions and service offerings.

As an Infrastructure/Systems Engineer, you will support ECS's Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS) program.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual Windows/Linux servers on secure and unsecure networks.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers to resolve performance and security issues.
- Provide documentation for all Linux server configurations and compliance with STIG checklists.
- Utilize CRM tools to request/track changes to the servers and infrastructure
- Communicate technical information to team members regarding server performance and sizing issues
- Implement/operate diagnostics and monitoring tools to detect/prevent/repair anomalous server behavior.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain effective security posture for the environment.
- Perform ad hoc projects support, analysis, and reporting as needed
- Some travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations may be required.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start date (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- 8-15+ years' experience in Network and IT Security
- Bachelor's Degree in a computer science related field or 5-10 years' experience
- Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret clearance preferred)
- Ten (10) years of experience in the following areas:
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise scale applications as a managed service offering
- Advanced knowledge and experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise services infrastructure and applications in a VMware virtualized environment.
- Advanced knowledge and experience using VMware based backup/restore procedures and enterprise storage systems to protect multi-terabyte virtual machines running Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, MS SQL, and/or Elasticsearch workloads. NetApp specific experience a plus.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience deploying and maintaining VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Horizon and NSX.
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to resolve complex issues within Microsoft Windows Server and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux based environments.
- Ability to support and execute on-going and routine infrastructure maintenance tasks such as user access provisioning, patching, upgrades, and security assessments of new and existing Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and VMware systems.
- Strong understanding of capacity planning and management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of ITIL based change/configuration management methodologies.
