Sr Manager, FPA Engineering and Capital

This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) in Exton, PA. Candidates applying must be residing within a commutable 50 mile radius to the job location.

Job Summary

This position will be the financial business partner to the VP of Technical Operations and will oversee all financial planning and analysis activities for the department. Responsibilities include delivering on all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for the function. Additionally, you will govern the global PER (project expenditure request) and serve as a trusted advisor on financial matters related to capital investments and projects. To be successful, you must build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with various departments such as engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Governance: Manage the global PER (project expenditure request) governance and monitor the process to ensures all projects approved are justified and consistent with strategy and that spending is in line with budget and capture the ROIC through the lifecycle of the projects.
• Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models and guidelines to be used by project sponsors and sites to evaluate different scenarios and assess the financial impact of various investment decisions. These models will help guide strategic planning and support decision-making at both operational and executive levels.
• Forecasting: Manage the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for the Elastomers and Primary Containment engineering function.
• Facilitation: Lead the monthly Executive PER Meeting as well as monitor the operating unit meetings.
• Reporting: Support global reporting processes for executive monthly business reviews as well as annual budget and long-term strategic plan exercises. This includes preparing information for the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the financial performance of capital projects and process adherence. Regularly track project expenses, ROI, and other financial metrics, and provide timely and accurate reports to senior management to facilitate decision-making and course corrections as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and refine capital and project planning processes, financial models, and analytical tools to simplify, enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Work closely with other finance leads to ensure financial implications (tax, internal control, disclosure, compliance) are considered and planned for regarding capital projects & investment.
• Leverages external best practices for developing and implementing state-of-the-art reporting and analyses.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Work Experience

• Minimum of 7 - 10 years accounting or finance experience in a publicly traded multinational manufacturing company
• Experience with SAP is a must

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with accounting software and general ledger consolidation tools
• Previous experience building and analyzing complex financial models including financial statements, discounted cash flows valuations and sensitivity analyses.
