This role requires flexibility and the ability to lead specific assignments delegated by the Production Engineering Manager, such as supporting launching, docking, and outfitting equipment installation. The Team Leader will manage priorities, schedule work efficiently, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in alignment with guidance from the Supervisor. Additionally, the Team Leader will supervise design analysis and support calculations for various projects driven by yard-wide process improvement initiatives, build strategy requirements, and installation-related needs.

Individual will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily activities for a portion of the Production Engineering department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an on-site, full-time safety-sensitive position. Standard schedule is 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. Flexible start times are available. The majority of work will be performed in the Philly Shipyard office. Occasional field work will be required. May be required to work after hours and from home to support meetings with other time zones.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met.
- To ensure the safe construction and schedule reduction of newbuild vessels, this role involves identifying innovative construction methods, assigning and supporting related tasks, and escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
- The role includes providing technical review, approval, and guidance on Lifting Plans, Transportation Plans, Temporary Access Hole Plans, WSDs, and Zone Divisions prepared by team engineers.
- It also requires ensuring that field issues are reflected in the design drawings to capture the as-built condition for follow-on or new vessels.
- The position is responsible for performing standardization, safety verification, and evaluation of production engineering items used on the production floor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related degree is required. E. l. T. certificate desirable.
- Four to six(4 - 6) years experience in an engineering role with strong background in both mechanical and structural engineering. Four (4) years experience in job specific discipline.
- Familiarity with structural steel design is required. Applicants with experience in the engineering of moving and installing/or lifting large objects in an industrial or construction environment of with the engineering of gear used to perform these lifts is a plus.
- Experience with engineering software such as Auto-Cad, experience with Aveva Marine is a plus.
- Familiarity with structural engineering software such as MSC-Patran or similar software.
- Proficiency with metric system preferred.
- Knowledge/experience concerning modern shipbuilding practices is a plus.
- International experience or familiarity with Asian Shipbuilding Standards is a plus.
- Be able to familiarize yourself with shipyard terminology and facilities equipment, such as
- crane and transporters.
