Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Design)

About the Role:
Selectek is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of HVAC system design experience to support government, higher education, corporate, and religious projects. This role will work closely with the HVAC Department Director, serving as their right-hand person, assisting with project management, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring timely project completion.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects.
• Perform and document HVAC calculations using Carrier HAP and Windchill.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs within budget.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in project site visits and facility audits as needed.
• Utilize Revit for HVAC design.

Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 7+ years of HVAC design experience.
• PE license required (candidates with strong mentoring and coaching experience but no PE will still be considered).
• Proficiency in Carrier HAP, Windchill, and Revit.
• Strong leadership, project management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM EST.
• Work Environment: On-site, no remote work (occasional work-from-home flexibility possible).
• Travel: None.
• Work Attire: Business casual.

Location: Kennesaw, GA (3400 Blue Spring Road)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
