Purpose of Job:

The ERP Salesforce Analyst collaborates closely with Project Managers, Development Managers, Technical Architects, Analysts, and Developers to translate business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions. This role supports the full development lifecycle-ranging from requirements gathering and technical design to unit testing and QA handoffs.

The analyst is responsible for ensuring that business needs are met through efficient use of existing Salesforce functionality wherever possible, reducing the need for custom development. A deep understanding of Salesforce configuration, capabilities, and design best practices is essential.

Additionally, the ERP Salesforce Analyst is expected to continuously develop expertise in the tools and development methodologies used within the Interstate Batteries environment through both structured training and hands-on project experience.

This role also involves contributing to the analysis and design of scalable information processing solutions, demonstrating initiative and accountability for delivering high-quality results on time. A strong sense of ownership, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are critical to success in this position.

Job Components:
  • Configures and maintains the Salesforce platform to ensure optimal performance, security, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Supports developers by assisting with customizations and providing configuration expertise to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Conducts research, performs data analysis, and provides user support across the organization to promote effective system usage.
  • Actively participates in the designing, testing, and implementing Salesforce systems and applications to meet evolving enterprise needs.
  • Creates detailed design documentation and functional specifications to support system development and process improvements.


Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty
  • 4-6 years' experience in Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud)
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including object model, security model, workflows, process builder, and validation rules.
  • Experience creating and managing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using native Salesforce tools.
  • Proficiency in customizing Salesforce using Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Lightning Experience, including Lightning pages and components.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform tools like AppExchange apps, Data Loader, and Change Sets.
  • Experience gathering user requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Demonstrates ability to lead medium to large projects
  • Ability to mentor others on the team. Performs a wide variety of complicated tasks
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
  • 4+ years proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using PL/SQL and SQL in an Oracle environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project a plus


Work Environment:
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
