Summary:
Performs and coordinates analysis, design, and support of clinical pharmacy information systems, processes, and structures to support clinical pharmacy practice. This position will contribute to the coordination of the clinical services and leverage information technology through building reports, dashboards, and data mining to ensure support of system strategic initiatives. This position also directly oversees the team of people supporting the enterprise's infusion pumps.

Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Supports the design and implementation of pharmacy informatics systems to improve patient care and system quality metrics.
- Oversees library management related to smart pump technology.
- Provides guidance to other analysts on the build of assigned platform(s). Coordinates with Epic analysts to ensure optimal build.
- Provides analysis of utilization and return-on-investment of installed and proposed assigned clinical platform(s) to highlight best practices, reduce workflow inefficiencies, and identify opportunities for improvement in pharmacy services or information management.
- Provides training, support and troubleshooting to end users. Documents end-user issues, designs solutions, and recommends steps to prevent recurrences.
- Develops and maintains relevant dashboards and metrics-driven reports to track outcomes.
- Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and protocols for the safe and effective use of medication-related technologies.
- Stays current with advancements in healthcare informatics and pharmacy practice.
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders to support medication management and patient safety initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Participates in system upgrades and data management tasks.
Requirements:- Current CO Pharmacist license
- Graduate of college of Pharmacy accredited by ACPE or equivalent
- Minimum experience = previous hospital pharmacy experience (greater than 3 years) with experience supporting projects with informatic elements preferred.
- Minimum experience: 2 years of post-graduate experience.
- Epic report writing and building preferred.
- Experience with other pharmacy technology systems such as Vigilanz, packaging, Logistics, repeater pumps, ControlCheck, etc.
- State licensure as a Pharmacist.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
