Location: Onsite, Dallas Office - 2555 Regent Blvd, Dallas, TX with Frequent travel throughout U.S. and international (i.e., air travel and driving)

Reports to: Senior VP of Service & Operations
Standard Schedule: Standard work schedule is Monday - Friday and hours vary; but must be able to additional hours and weekends as needed

Compensation: Annual salary + Annual Bonus Potential

Job Responsibility: The Installation Project Manager - Shared Services, supports the entire sales process and has the overall responsibility for the installation and commissioning of the
Koenig & Bauer Flexo presses, Flatbed Die Cutters and Folder - Gluers from start-up through final acceptance on-site by the customer. This position will also assist with installation project management for Sheetfed Printing Presses and Web & Digital machines when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages the complete installation process for the respective product lines
  • Manages all installation functions including but not limited to interaction with sales, engineering, logistics, technicians and customers.
  • Manages installation budgets and reviews variances through detailed reports to senior management and controlling departments.
  • Manages and controls the North American schedule for installations once released for shipment.
  • Works with Logistics Manager to coordinate all shipping and freight from port of export to customer's dock.
  • Coordinates with Koenig & Bauer (US) Service Managers as well as factory Service Managers to secure the necessary labor resources for the installation projects.
  • Interviews, hires, and manages riggers, installers, and other necessary third party resources as required for installation related issues in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintains and manages all installation related documents for the customers' internal file.
  • Responsible for assembling all necessary installation related technical information including drawings, foundation requirements, electrical requirements, plumbing requirements, etc. into
    a pre-installation manual for the customer.
  • Coordinates technical details with the customer and their contractors
  • Conducts onsite pre-installation meetings with customers and contractors to review requirements, responsibilities and answers technical questions related to the installation and start-up of the machine.
  • Works with the sales managers during the selling process as needed to support potential installation issues.
  • Supports the sales managers as a technical support resource for production and operational information.
  • Coordinates and facilitates scheduled periodic project meetings before shipment and during installation to assure customers have a high level of comfort with the process and to assure open issues that
    arise during the process are resolved.
  • Manages and closes all open items resulting from the installation until the machine is signed off and fully accepted by the customer.
  • Coordinate the entire process for the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) including the organization of materials required.
  • Acts as a conduit for collecting details regarding customer satisfaction and how our processes can be improved.
  • Proactively communicates with the factory to provide feedback on the installation process and the performance of the equipment when in operation.
  • Uses personal experience to advise the factory on suggested product improvements and market driven features. Also, identifies problem areas focusing on a reliable product versus
    innovation and communicates the same to the factory.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training plus 5-10 years of experience in printing technology, press operations or project management.

Experience: Five or more years of project management experience with capital equipment.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, Smartsheet, MS Project and MS Office preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge / experience with current state of printing technology.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical components of a printing press.
  • Extensive knowledge of Thermoregulatory, Corona treatment, Gas Burners, LEL Systems, Chilling Systems, Conveyors, Roll Sheeters, HVAC, Electrical and others.
  • Demonstrate good customer relation skills.
  • Experience in interpreting machine specifications, blueprints, diagrams and manuals for advanced printing machinery.
