This position is responsible for leading teams of engineers and technical professionals in Schematic design and PS&E for highway projects for the Transportation division.

Overview
This position is responsible for leading teams of engineers and technical professionals in Schematic design and PS&E for highway projects for the Transportation division.
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance and direction to project design teams by managing workload, scheduling, project timeline, QA/QC, and oter tasks as needed within the scope of a project.
- Leads multi-discipline support consultant teams in project development and design.
- Pursues and wins contracts within the State and various municipalities.
- Presents new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders.
- Supports efforts in proposal development, project scoping, and developing client relationships.
- Attends design review meetings and interact with clients with support staff
- Tracks budgets using financial metrics.
- Participates in professional associations and attend industry networking events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
- 15+ years' multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 10 years' managing projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple work assignments and/or contracts for multiple clients simultaneously.
- Ability to technically and professionally mentor members of project team.
- Ability to remain flexible to changing client demands.
- Exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organization.
- Must be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
