Who we're looking for

Toyota's Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCOE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated SAP Master Data Sr. Analyst.

Seeking candidates with previous ERP experience, preferably with SAP S4 HANA, and a background in master data management (Material Master, FI). The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large data sets. Prefer someone with a strong vehicle build knowledge specifically vehicle option packages, specs, and parts. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the capability to lead small to mid-scale projects independently and facilitate meetings.

Reporting to the eCOE Manager, the person in this role will support the eCOE Master Data department's objectives to create and enforce SAP best practices, standards and methodologies to ensure consistency and quality across our organization. This role works closely with the business and IT support team members.

What you'll be doing

  • Project & Risk Management:
    • Identify potential enhancement and project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards in SAP implementations.
    • Provide functional/technical guidance to business team members by acting as a liaison to IT to help find solutions to meet business needs.


  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as a primary subject matter expert (SME) & point of contact (POC) for departments requesting SAP support related to Master Data (Material Master, FI)
    • Act as Liaison across Toyota's IT group and business stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
    • Understand requirements and ensure they are met through effective project delivery.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the business.
  • Master Data Maintenance and Governance:
    • Ensuring accurate and timely creation of master data. (e.g. Material Master for various products and options; GL to support financial reporting).
    • Manage the material master data process to create vehicle materials and maintenance of production and service parts.
    • Ensure data quality, controls, standards, and down-stream processes are supported.
    • Execute Material Master and FI data management (e.g. creation, updates, and extensions)
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and reconciliation processes.
    • Enforce Master Data governance policies and procedures.
    • Establish operational KPIs to develop improvement plans.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Stay current with SAP technologies and industry trends related to Master Data Management.
    • Research and propose innovative solutions to enhance Master Data processes.
    • Promote and implement automated process using technology tools
  • Issue Resolution and Support:
    • Research and resolve Master Data related issues and errors.
    • Provide support to business users on Master Data related inquiries.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, information technology or a related field.
  • Experience in an SAP Hana environment, with a focus on Master Data
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve master data issues efficiently.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and kaizen initiatives, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for master data processes, including process flows, ticket resolution and resolution procedures.
  • Ability to lead projects/enhancements and work with customers to gather requirements, identify project milestones and associated tasks.
  • Experience participating in projects or major releases, including testing and knowledge transfer activities.

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Relevant SAP certifications.
  • Project management certifications
  • Experience in leading cross-functional investigations to address complex problems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business processes related to Material Management and Finance/Controlling.
  • Demonstrated functional understanding of SAP Master Data (Material Master, FI).
  • Experience in stakeholder communication and relationship management is highly desirable.
