The Position
The Medical Information (MI) is responsible for three core functions within MI: Medical Information, Medical/Scientific Review, and Medical Education and Training of internal stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of own therapeutic area (TA), including product knowledge, disease state management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape. The MI Associate Director will report into the Medical Information and Content Lead.

The MI Associate Director will report into the Medical Information and Content Lead.
Responsibilities
Medical Information
- Customize responses to U.S. healthcare provider (HCP) inquiries, in writing or verbally.
- Respond to global inquiries that are escalated due to their complexity.
- Verbally answer unsolicited inquiries from HCPs while staffing congress Medical Information booths.
- Generate insights from Medical Information capabilities to inform strategy.
- Make decisions, within guidelines and policies, on a range of routine customer, operational, and project activities.
- Identify medical information gaps from received inquiries and provide insights to the Global Medical Content Team.
- Participate in MI initiatives addressing process improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Scientific Review of US and Global Promotional Materials
- Review and approve promotional materials from internal and external stakeholders to ensure content is relevant, scientifically accurate, and consistent with company values and standards.
- Participate in training of internal stakeholders on promotional review standards and processes.
Medical Education and Training
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine educational objectives of training materials and to identify training gaps.
- Create and develop medical and disease education materials.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of scientific training materials to call center, field sales representatives, and other colleagues.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PharmD, MD, PhD, NP, PA).
- Three plus years of experience in medical information, medical affairs operations, field medical, market access, or a related field within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with the development of materials for internal and external customers, preferably experience developing standard response letters (SRLs) and medical review of materials by MLR (Medical Legal Regulatory).
- Previous experience in dermatology preferred.
- Travel: up to 25%.
